Harrington, <br /> Selectman Mills indicated to correct the spelling of obliged to <br /> read obligated ,. . <br /> ****The motion was made by Selectman Mills to accept the Article <br /> submitted by the Board of Assessors for the Annual. Town Meeting <br /> Warrant . The motion was seconded by Selectman Vaccaro, VOTE: <br /> Unanimous . 3-0 . <br /> p.m. Dr, DeMoura and School Committee -- Space Needs <br /> Dr. DeMoura -and the School Committee were present for the <br /> discussion of space needs with the Board.. <br /> Effective August 1 , 1992 , the intent of the School <br /> Department is to occupy the two rooms downstairs that are <br /> presently being used by the Building Department, Conservation and <br /> the Board of Health indicates Dr. DeMoura . - <br /> In the review of school space needs and lack of classroom <br /> space the intent is to relocate four integrated programs from the <br /> Middle School , <br /> The Special Education Preschool , Special Education <br /> Kindergarten, Integrated Preschool and Regular Kindergarten would <br /> occupy the space of the two room informs Dr, DeMoura , All four <br /> are currently in place at the Middle School , <br /> Dr. DeMoura made the suggestion to place Personnel in the <br /> Selectmen ' s Office and conservation into the office occupied by <br /> Personnel . The Selectmen ' s conference Room #1 could be utilized <br /> by the Building Inspector and the small conference room used by <br /> Torn Eudala could occupy the Board of Health. <br /> Dr. DeMoura indicates that- there are rest room facilities down- <br /> stairs to accommodate the younger children. If the fifteen classroom <br /> addition is approved, the space would be occupied for one year. <br /> *Mr. Harrington has recommended to form a sub-committee to research <br /> space needs . He indicates the Police Department has ample space. <br /> Two members of the Board of Selectmen, two members of the School <br /> Committee, a member of the Building Department and Board of Health <br /> and departments effected would formulate the sub-committee for further <br /> review. <br /> Selectman caffyn suggests to utilize the great room for the school <br /> space needs . Dr, DeMoura indicates that room is utilized for Project <br /> Create. He does not want to relocate this program that works with the <br /> parents and children before they are placed in a special needs environ- <br /> ment . <br /> nviron=ment . <br /> ***The motion was rade by Selectman Mills to appoint a sub-committee <br /> to review space, needs as soon as possible. The motion was seconded by <br /> Selectman Vaccaro, VOTE: Unanimous . -0. <br />
