The price is not to exceed $256 , 900. The motion was <br /> seconded by Selectman Caffyn . VOTE: Unanimous . 4-0 . <br /> ****The motion was made by Selectman Caffyn to authorize the , <br /> Chairman of the Board of Selectmen to execute the contract when <br /> received. The motion was seconded by Selectman Vaccaro. VOTE: <br /> Unanimous — 4-0. <br /> 9 :42 p.m. Committee Handbook for review <br /> Town Counsel will reveiw the ramifications with regards to <br /> Special Municipal Employee ' s. It-j.5--the agreement of the Board <br /> -1 1to hold the execution of the Committee handbook`at ,this�time.l ,' <br /> Pimlico Pond Road : <br /> Greg Taylor discussed the construction cost of the <br /> redesigned 1100 ' portion of Pimlico Pond Road . He reports the <br /> • anticipated cost of the new road is $124 , 300. <br /> The donation account has a balance of $25 , 000. Total funds <br /> needed to secure through Chapter 90 funds is $99, 300. Mr. Taylor <br /> relates that this is on his high priority list of road <br /> construction. <br /> Mr. Taylor will inquire of Doyle Engineering, Inc. as to the <br /> specific costs involved . Counsel relates that there is no <br /> appraisal required . He indicates the proposal is for the Town to <br /> acquire ownership to the road as straightened . <br /> Selectman Caffyn asked if the engineering costs will be paid <br /> for by the Thompson family? Attorney Fitch relates that it was <br /> not a refined agreement as to the Thompson family to prepare all <br /> of the plans up to the taking. <br /> Attorney Fitch indicates there is preliminary approval with <br /> the Planning Board . They want the taking completed prior to a <br /> vote of the definitive plan. His client will make all efforts to <br /> cooperate . <br /> The engineering costs are approximately $8 ,000 indicates <br /> Mr. Taylor . Town Counsel relates the legal fees would probably <br /> be $600 maximum. <br /> Mr. Taylor will call Doyle Engineering. The Board will <br /> discuss this further on Thursday evening. <br /> Fiscal Policy : <br /> Future revenue to review includes the cranberry bogs and the <br /> • possibility to privatize the ambulance service and include volunteers <br /> in the Fire Department. <br /> An important consideration is to maintain the debt schedule <br /> indicates Mr. Harrington. Many projects may have to be postponed , <br /> deferred or placed over a longer period of time. This report presents <br /> a program of decision making that can occur with some rationality . <br />
