BOARD +F SELECTMEN Page 2 <br /> MINUTES <br /> THURSDAY, MAY 28r 1992 <br /> 4: 50 p.m. Dean Driscoll : Fence: <br /> Mr. Driscoll was present to request permission to install <br /> fencing to create an outfield in Heritage Park, The fence is <br /> portable and orange plastic in color. The posts will be black <br /> and flexible. <br /> The Little League has recommended to install snow fencing, <br /> but Mr. Driscoll and Mr * Taylor agree this type of fence is <br /> dangerous and may pose liability to the town. <br /> Mr. Driscoll obtained a low bid - for the fence from <br /> Government specialty Access of California for an estimated sum of <br /> $958 .40 . This includes shipment costs . Money is available in <br /> theSelectmen ' s budget to cover the costs . <br /> Mr. Driscoll rotes that the fence can be used for more than <br /> the ball field itself. It can be stored or placed in another <br /> area if necessary. It is high duality material and wind <br /> resistant . <br /> ***The motion was made by Selectman Jacobson to approve the <br /> plastic link safety fence for the estimated sure of $958 -40 for <br /> the ball field . The motion was seconded by Selectman Costa . <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. 4-0 . Selectman Vaccaro was not present for <br /> the vote. <br /> Johns Bond Barg Rec Area : <br /> Mr. Driscoll has suggested to develop some additional <br /> recreational facilities to be located at John ' s pond Park. The <br /> proposed facilities -include a- sandvolleyball court , a basketball <br /> court, two horseshoe pits and a - play round area . <br /> This proposal has leen discussed with Toren Fudala and Greg <br /> Taylor ,informs Mr.. Driscoll, A Request for Determinat ion has <br /> been filed Frith' Mr. Sherman. Where is no negative impact to this <br /> area. . Mr. Sherman has ho conflict with the project. <br /> 4:08 p,m, Selectman Vaccaro arrived for the Meeting. <br /> Selectman Mills motes her concern to the adequate amount of <br /> trash receptacles in the area . Mr. Driscoll is willing to <br /> incorporate more receptacles and indicates he would encourage use <br /> and not misuse of the area. <br /> *The motion was made by Selectman Jacobson to approve the <br /> additional recreational facilities as described by Mr. Driscoll . <br /> The motion was seconded by Selectman Costa , VOTE; Unanimous. <br /> 5-0W <br /> Selectman Caf fyan has suggested that Mr. Driscoll return with <br /> the proposals and planned activities around town, <br />
