She will ask Mashpee ' s representative to - the Commission to attend a meeting with the Selectmen of this concern. Representatives of Field ' s Point will also be invited to attend the discussion. Wayne Garrett of Best Buy Beverage,. Inc. asked the Board of the status of the L-i quor' License Nearing that was held last week? . Selectman caffyn 'indicated that this will be placed on the Board ' s agenda of Tune 15, 19920 Brad Barron re : Public Amusement Permit Brad Barron and Gary 'Serpo were present to request approval for an amusement ride entitled "Spaceball" to be allowed at the Plea Market. Selectman costa indicates that he has had discussion with the owner of the Flea Market of this concern. To state for the record, Chris Marandola did not want this on the Selectmen ' s agenda. Mr. Barron relates that he has corresponded with Lou Marandola for this request and not Chris Marandola, Lou Marandoa has requested that Mr. Barron notify the Selectmen to request a license be granted for this type of amusement ride at the Flea Market indicates Mr, Barron. Mr. Barron indicates that the State does not require a license for this amusement since it is non-mechanical . There is no power source . Town Counsel indicates that a Special Permit may be required under the zoning bylaw. It is not known if the - Special Permit under the Plea Market allows for this particular activity. Mr. -Barron showed a brief video of the amusement ride. The rider enters the ball . The operator- spins the sphere wheel outside of the sphere to create a gyration effect . The proposed fee for the ride is $3 .00for approximately 1- 1-2-minutes motes Mr. Barron, The operator can converse with the rider as to the speed. of the sphere.
