This is not a permanent job. <br /> If there is a conflict of interest , she is willing to give up her <br /> position. indicates Counsel . <br /> The selectmen are the appointing authority indicates Town <br /> Counsel , written determination from the Board is required of <br /> this concern. <br /> Mr. Zarnmer relates that the same family runs the operation <br /> of the Poppon,esset -Inn and Picnic Box, but the operations are run <br /> y different entities * He also notes that numerous Town <br /> employee ' s have children who work for his corporations. <br /> selectman Mills has recommended to authorize the Assistant <br /> Building Inspector to make the determination of the violation of <br /> the Picnic Box. selectman Costa agrees , The Building Inspector <br /> should not he put into this type of position. There would hien <br /> e no public perception relative to this matter. <br /> *The motion was made by selectman Costa to authorize the <br /> Assistant Building Inspector to make the determination with <br /> reference to the Picnic Box. The motion was seconded by <br /> Selectman Mills , VOTE: Unanimous. 5-0 . <br /> OLD BUSINESS: <br /> Discussion -relative to Im act vacation:. <br /> The Board reviewed the response from the Personnel Board and <br /> Ed Baker relative to Impact/vacation. <br /> The Board is in agreement that the recommendation from <br /> Mr. Baker ,is validb Selectman Vaccaro suggests to give the <br /> employee ' s a full year to use the accrued vacation time so it <br /> the . <br /> accrued <br /> not disrupt departments, <br /> Selectman Mills suggests to implement the policy for next <br /> year. The employee ' s are to use their accumulated vacation time <br /> or they will lose it . <br /> The Board is in agreement to 'agree with the Personnel Board <br /> as to the carry-over to be capped at five days . <br /> The agreement of the Board is to defer this item at this <br /> time. Town Counsel will review the employment contract as to the <br /> rights of an employee. He is reluctant to tele an employee to <br /> forfeit vacation time accrued . The exception may he creating a <br /> new rule . <br />
