f i <br /> 1 <br /> } <br /> BOARD OF SELECTMEN Page 5 <br /> MINUTES <br /> MONDAY, JUNE 81 1992 <br /> Local Comprehensive Plan <br /> Twelve sub-committeels are proposed to be developed to focus <br /> of specific topics to be covered under the Local Comprehensive <br /> Plan informs Mr, Fudala. <br /> Mr. Fudala invites the selectmen to serve on each of the <br /> twelve committeels. He would like to begin the process in mid- <br /> July with a series of forum ' s relative to the Comprehensive Plan. <br /> Each sub-committee will -run their own forum ,indicates <br /> Mr. Fudala . A - series of goals and objectives will be established <br /> o direct the planning effort . <br /> "Vision statement" should be developed as to what we want <br /> Matshpee to be relates Mr, Fudala, <br /> We are still in the information stage notes Mr. Fudatlat . I <br /> is important for the selectmen to serve on each sub-committee. <br /> The whole Board of selectmen will interact with the Growth <br /> Management Committee with the full Planning Board . <br /> Several determinations and funding sources will be obtained <br /> before the contract is signed indicates Mr. Fudala . The approach <br /> fits in with the tone the Selectmen are trying to set relates <br /> Mr. Fudalat . <br /> The Board is in agreement and will make the determination as <br /> o meeting the sub-committee requirements . <br /> 8 :08 p,m. COMMUNICATION AND CORRESPONDENCE: <br /> The Board is in agreement to have picture id ' s taken by the <br /> Police Deparment for identification of the Harbormaster and his <br /> assistants . <br /> There is presently one Assistant Harbormaster. The Board is <br /> in agreement to have the Finance Committee review the budget of <br /> his department . If there is enough money, it is prudent to hire <br /> n addi ional assistant . <br /> Selectman Jacobson indicates her concern to monitor for <br /> fresh water safety. <br /> The schedule ' of the Harbormaster will also be reviewed by <br /> the Finance Committee, <br /> A letter was received from Doug Burd relative to the <br /> possible conflict of interest regarding the Picnic Box, Mr. Boyd <br /> has notified the Town Clerk of this concern. He does not feel <br /> that this is a violation. <br /> Mr, Boyd ' s daughter works for the Popponesset Inn during the <br />
