i i F BOARD of SELECTMEN Page MINUTE THUR D. , JUNE 11 1992 Harbormaster Issues The Board is in agreement that George Hinckley presents a conflict of interest as an Assistant Harbormaster since he operates a boat towing business in the waters of Mashpee. In addition to the list submitted by the Harbormaster regarding the Assistant Harbormaster appointments , Richard Ranco of 1 Magnolia Lane has requested to be re- appointed.-Selectman Mills notes her concern to the 'large boats and the size of their engines . She suggests to monitor the gas closely. ***The motion was made by Selectman Jacobson to approve the list of Assistant Harbormaster ' s to be reappointed with the addition of Richard Tando and the deletion of George Hinc ely effective July 1 , 1992 . The motion was seconded by Selectman Mills , VOTE; Unanimous. -o . The Board is thankful for the volunteers in water safety , Moratorium: Twenty-five names are on the waiting list for moorings relates Mr. Madden, An inventory will be submitted by the end of the Month with reference to the existing moor Ings. Mr. Madden has reviewed the procedure with the Board regarding the verification of tax payments . A current list was given to Mr. Madden for review. Selectman Vaccaro suggests that Mr, Madden be able to utilize his judgement regarding the issue of new moorings . Selectman Cafe n agrees for Mr. Madden to use his own discretion. The reason for the moratorium is for the Harbor Management Plan informs Selectman Mills, She recommends for Mr. Madden to 9 meet with Tom Fud5ala to receive the plan4p Mr. Madden is in agreement to meet with the Board on Thursday, June 1 , 1992 to give an overview of the current mooring situation* : 20 p.m. Americans with Disabilities Act : Dr. DeMoura was present to give an overview of the Americans with Disabilities Act or ADA. This will take effect on ju1y 2 , 1992 to all state and local governments with 25 or more employee r s.
