i <br /> BOARD OF SELECTMEN Page .4 <br /> MINUTES <br /> THURSDAY, UTNE 1-8 ,, 1992 <br /> Executive 90,cretary Finalist . <br /> Selectman Jacobson indicates that there were excellent <br /> candidates for the position of Executive Secretary to Mahee . <br /> She concurs with the recommendation of Selectman Vaccaro and adds <br /> that she is seeking further information on the candidates . <br /> Selectman Mills also concurs with the recommendation of <br /> Selectman Vaccaro. <br /> Selectman costa indicates that the four finalist were <br /> excellent . He also concurs with the recommendation made by <br /> Selectman Vaccaro. Robert Whritenour as finalist number one and <br /> Philip Dern o i s as finalist numhe r two . <br /> Selectman caffyn is also in agreement. She made reference <br /> to the intensive research done by Marilyn Farren. The candidates <br /> were well educated and experienced . Selectman caffyn is pleased <br /> that the Board is in agreement on the selection of the finalist . <br /> Selectman costa cave thanks on behalf of the Board for the <br /> excellent job performed by Rita Sousa and Jane Stockbridge to <br /> present the candidates , They were extremely helpful throughout <br /> the process . <br /> Rita Sousa indicated that they both thoroughly enjoyed <br /> working this project with the Board of Selectmen, Working with <br /> the Selectmen with such a diversity of opinion and the 100 <br /> applications received they were impressed by what the Selectmen <br /> took into consideration. The Selectmen were very yrofessional <br /> during the process of approval . <br /> Ms . Sousa indicates that she was honored to have been <br /> included in the search process and is proud of Mashpee ' s <br /> Selectmen . <br /> Selectman Caffynr Selectman costa and Selectman Jacobson <br /> will make the visitation in the immediate future at a time deemed <br /> appropriate. Town counsel with the aid of Assistant Town counsel <br /> will review the existing Town contracts . A workshop will be <br /> scheduled on Monday evening before the Regular Meeting of the <br /> Board to discuss the contract . <br /> COMMUNICATION AND CORRESPONDENCE : <br /> Doug Boyd re : Picnic Dox: <br /> The Building Inspector ' s letter of June 15t 1992 indicates <br /> that conversation with the State Ethics commission relates that <br /> there is no conflict of interest with regards to the Picnic Box. <br />
