t` <br /> BOARD of SELECTMEN <br /> MINUTES <br /> MONDAY, JUNE 2 , 1992 <br /> Present : Selectman Caffyn, Selectman Vaccaro, Selectman Mills , <br /> Selectman Jacobson, Selectman Costa <br /> Administrative Assistant Joyce Mason <br /> Guests : Deidre Grelish, Al Polsi , Rita Sousa , Jane Stockbridge, <br /> Ed Baker, Petty Jones , Wayne Garrett <br /> Meeting Convened : 7 : 25 p.m. <br /> APPROVAL of MINUTES : <br /> The minutes of June 11 , 1992 and, June 15, 1992 will be <br /> reviewed on Thursday, June 25 , 1992 as per the agreement of the <br /> Board. <br /> Public Hearing. Boat Landing Re ulations Amendment : <br /> Selectman Caffyn read the Public Hearing Notice to amend the <br /> Mashpee Pond Boat Landing Regulations Number 12 to read as <br /> follows : Charge a $3 .00 admission fee per vehicle per day <br /> utilizing the facility . A $.9 ,00 admission fee per outw- <br /> of-state vehicle per day will be charged. The fee will <br /> be charged weekends and holidays from April 1 , 1992 to <br /> October 15 , 1992 . <br /> The Board reviewed the regulations in particular numbers 12 <br /> and 13 , Number 12 indicates a $3 .00 foo will be charged per <br /> vesicle per day for utilization of the facility . This includes <br /> launching and/or parking. <br /> It was noted that the extension will cover the cost for <br /> added 'security . The state has agreed that his is a reasonable <br /> fee to control the situation relates Selectman Jacobson. <br /> Selectman Jacobson recommends in the fixture to regulate <br /> tournaments during the season of the spawning of bass . The <br /> spawning season is important to the pond . <br /> Assistant Harbormaster Richard Ra do was present to discuss <br /> his concerns . He recommends to restrict the tournaments to <br /> certain times ' per year. once the paring lot is filled , there <br /> should be no other boats allowed in the pond . No other boats <br /> should launch if the parking lot is filled . He indicates that <br /> each vehicle that has access to the ramp should be charged . <br /> Mr. Rando also notes that the fishing tournaments are not <br /> the main problem. It is mostly people with hot rod boats that <br /> rake in the pond . He suggests the fishing tournaments declare <br /> the number of boats to be in the tournament with the Town and <br /> state and passes should be given out for the amount requested . <br />
