k BOARD OF SELECTMEN Page 2 MINUTES MONDAY_t JUNE 22 , 1992 Public Hearing: Boat Landing Regulations Amendment : Selectman Jacobson notes that with normal use of the pond , there is adequate control , The state has advised the' Town that we cannot limit the number of boats in a fishing tournaments The Pubic Access Board will be notified of the tournament starting time of 7: 00 a .m . 7: 50 p.m. selectman Caffyn closed the Public Hearings *The motion was made by Selectman Mills to accept the modification of the Mashpee pond Boat Landing Regulations * Number 12 with the deletion of the year 1992 . The motion was seconded by Selectman Jacobson, VOTE: Unanimous . 4-0 . Selectman Costa was not present for the vote, PUBLIC DISCUSSION: Dr. Petti expressed concern of Mashpee citizens regarding the character of a Town employee. She indicates that there ,was o need to humiliate Joyce Mason4b The behavior displayed by the Board is a pattern that has occurred over the last year. First with Kevin Harrington, Town Counsel and now Joyce Mason, Dr . Putti indicates that this is not professional conduct of Mashpee Town officials, The Board should conduct business in a more professional manner4b Dr. Petti relates that the Selectmen are policy makers without authority to interfere with the organization of the Town Department Heads , she notes the past campaign promises of the Selectmen to pull Mashpee together and suggests the Board maintain them. f Deidre Greelish hand delivered as requested by the Finance Committee their reoomm' endations regarding contracts . Mrs, Greelish indicates that she has also given a copy to Attorney Gilman. DPW Director: Acceptance of Annual Bias Mr. Taylor was present to discuss the summary of Annual Bids received . He indicates that bids were obtained for each category. He has rade the recommendation to award a bice to each category. ***The motion was made by Selectman Jacobson to accept the DPW Director ' s recommendation on his summary of bids dated June 8r 1992 . The motion was seconded by Selectman Vaccaro, VOTE: Unanimous . 4-0. selectman Costa was not present for the vote.
