Harris was present to request the use of John ' s Pond facilities rather than the proposed use of ashpee Wa eby Pond for boat operations relative to Project Questab The scheduled dates include; July 1 , - 1992 at 2 : 40 p.m. to accommodate 15 boy scouts , August 12 , 1992 for 30 adults and August 19, 1992 to accommodate 115 teenagers for small boat operations informs Sgt . Harris, On August 19, 1992 , State Police divers will be present to aid during this function. John ' s Pond Beach, is an ideal location to conduct this type of operation relates Sgt. Harris . He indicated that he reviewed the State Boat Ramp faciliti s with Selectman Mills. The Harbormaster will be present at the site - during the small boat operations informs Sgt . Harris , Dean Driscoll and Chief Ridgeway have also been notified and do not object to the training project promoting a drug free environment rotes Sgt. Harris. ***The motion was made by Selectman Dills to approve of Project Quest to be located on John ' s Pond on July 18t 1992 , August 12 and 19 , 1992 . The motion was seconded by Selectman costa . VOTE: Unanimous . 5-0. 7: 22 p.m, COMMUNICATIONS AICD CORRESPONDENCE: South cape Beach: Selectman Vaccaro indicates that a meeting is scheduled for Monday, July 20f 1992 in Boston at 2 : 00 p.m. with Representative ahir and Susan Tierney relative to environmental issues regarding Great Oak Road . Greg Taylor will be present for the discussion and will obtai-n indication of what can and cannot be dome within the scope of the project . Selectman Vaccaro suggests to schedule this discussion on a future agenda . There is a strong need for a bicycle path. The approximate cost as related by Mr. Taylor- is $100, 000. it is not known at this time as to the latitude MtPA will grant regarding grade changes for the bicycle path notes Selectman Vaccaro. This will be determined on July 20 , 1992 . Selectman Vaccaro indicates that two encroachments and possibly a third - will involve settlement negotiations . Attorney Morse relates that the road has to be taken by eminent domain since it is in the wrong location. Another taking plan is required to relay out the road which rewires Town Meeting approval . Since the road is not on the land owned by the Town, damages will- have to be awarded to the 24 encroachments * Selectman Jacobson recommends to emphasize to the public that we will not be paving the section of the road that is not currently paved,
