• <br /> BOARD of SELECTMEN Page <br /> MINUTES <br /> THURSDAY ULY 23.1 1992 <br /> a unit Bay Watershed Act : <br /> *The motion was made by Selectman Jacobson to appoint <br /> Selectman Mill ' s as Mashpee ' s representative from the Board of <br /> Selectmen. The motion was seconded by Selectman Costa . VOTE: <br /> Unanimous . =o. <br /> Ms. Sloan indicates that Falmouth has endorsed the no <br /> discharge designation. There is one pump out facility located at <br /> Edward ' s Boatyard located on the Child ' s River. <br /> M . Sl .n indicates that there is money set aside in state <br /> funds to provide this type of service entitled the "Clean vessels <br /> Act" for pump out facilities. It was noted that it is illegal <br /> under the statute of the BRA to pump out .within three miles from <br /> the shoreline . <br /> Selectman Costa indicates that he will discuss the operation <br /> of a pump out facility with the two boat yards in Mashpee. <br /> ***The motion was made by Selectman Jacobson to support the <br /> request for no discharge designation and proceed to obtain the <br /> necessary information for application to the Environmental <br /> Protection Agency. The motion was seconded by Selectman Mills .. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. -o. <br /> 4 :45 p.m. Design Review Committee Appointment : <br /> Steven van Tol was present to discuss his position that he <br /> has held for five years on the Design Review Committee. He <br /> indicates that meetings are scheduled through the Building <br /> Inspector ' s office as needed. <br /> *The motion was rade by Selectman Jacobson to re-appoint <br /> Steven van Tol to the Design Review Committee and advertise for <br /> the remaining opera position. The motion was seconded by <br /> Selectman Costa . VOTE: Unanimous. -o. <br /> It was noted that Mike Ia unas and Tony Ferragamo presently <br /> serge on this committee. <br /> Bill Hauck re; office Procedures <br /> The hours to speak directly to the Building Inspector are <br /> from :00 a .m, to 10: 00 a .m. and again between 3 : 00 p.m. to 4: 00 <br /> pem, as recommended by Mr. Hauck. Business will conduct in the <br /> office from 8 :00 a .m. to 4: 00 p.m, with the exception of the half <br /> hour -between 12 : 00 p,m, and 12 : 30 p.m. when the Administrative <br /> Assistant will be on her lunch break relates Mr. Hauer. <br />
