Attorney Morse relates that she is net a <br /> civil rights lawyer . <br /> My personal concern is for the Board of Selectmen personally <br /> indicates Attorney Morse , The Selectmen are running a strong <br /> risk of being sued for a civil rights violat.ien if they dismiss <br /> Sergeant Mace.. <br /> Mr. Whritenour agrees . The Board is in need of expert <br /> labol- counsel to guide them through a di ficul-t and complicated <br /> labor practice. <br /> Mr. Whriteneur recommends to retain the services of Phillip <br /> Collins of Wellesley. He has worked previously with Attorney <br /> Collins who is noted to be one of the best municipal labor <br /> attorneys in the state. Attorney Collins also works closely with <br /> the Massachusetts Municipal Association informs Mr. Whri enour. <br /> The Board is in agreement to establish an -immediate <br /> 'ti-me r me,a's to when Attorney Collins can provide the Board <br /> with the advice they are seeking. <br /> Selectman Vaccaro relates that it is important to obtain <br /> timely advice from Special Labor counsel as to what the Doan can <br /> and cannot do. Main issues of concern include; what constitutes <br /> just cause for firing an employee?
