Ridgeway to reach a agreement . The motion was seconded by Selectman Mills. VOTE: Unanimous. 4-0. Selectman Vaccaro abstained from voting.. Reappointment of _Assistant Town Counsel : Attorney Morse made note -that the correct reappointment is Acting Town Counsel . Ir. Whritenour recommended to appoint Leslie Morse as Actin Town Counselntil a permanent Town Counsel has been appointed . *The motion was made by. Selectman Jacobson to appoint Leslie Ann Morse as Acting Town Counsel until such tineas a permanent Town Counsel is appointed. The motionas seconded by Selectman Costa , VOTE: Unanimous. 5-0. Review Town Meeting Warrant It is the agreement of the Board to defer this item at this time, A meeting will be ' scheduled for Thursday, September 31 1992 for further discussion of the Warrant. It was noted that an article authorizing the settlement of Beechwood Point will be placed on the Warrant . Civil Defense. Discussion: Mr..- Whritenour related his concern that a Civil Defense organization is not currently in place in Mashpee. This being hurricane season, he has recommended to be appointed to the position of Civil Defense Director in the event of an emergency. *The motion was made by Seleotm n� Costa to appoint Robert Whritenour as Civil Defense Director. The motion was seconded by Selectman Jacobson, VOTE: Unanimous . 5-00 Selectman Jacobson has volunteered to be of assistance to Mr. Whritenour with regard to this position. It was noted that Mr, Whritenour has the authority to appoint two volunteer assistants to the position of Civil Defense .
