S. Federation, <br /> Inc. with regards to their past discussion of goals and <br /> ob ectives in developing and improving conditions on <br /> Mashpee/Waeby Pond . He noted that representatives from the <br /> State also attended the discussion. <br /> The Waterways Commission is working on developing a formal <br /> training program for Assistant Harbormaster ' s Informs <br /> Mr. Gordon that will be implemented in early spring. CPR <br /> training will be included i-n this program noted Mr. Gordon. <br /> The Waterways Commission ,is also involved with the Waquoit <br /> Bay "No Discharge Des-ignation" informs Mr. Gordon. We are also <br /> working on a Mashpee boating brochure to supplement the State <br /> safe boating brochure indicated Mr. Gordon. <br /> In early spring, the WaterwaysCommision wi11 be in request <br /> of new aids to navigation informs Mr. Gordon. This includes new <br /> signs and buoys on the waterways. <br /> The Waterways Commission has revised their meeting dates to <br /> the first Tuesday of each month indicated Mr. Gordon, The change <br /> will take effect in February. <br /> 7: 15 p, m. Ben Gordon re : Popponesset it: <br /> Mr. Gordon was present to discuss Popponesset Spit with the <br /> Board ,, He presented a. notebo-ok of photographs taken of the Spit <br /> from 1991 to present . This includes Hurricane Bobs the Halloween <br /> storm, storms of December 11th and 12th and a recent picture <br /> taken of low tide that will aid in the ongoing history of the <br /> Spit as it appears in different parts of Popponesset Bay. <br /> A draft report of Popponesset Bay was submitted for review, <br /> This was seat to the Waterways Commission on December 23 , 1992 <br /> from the Army Corp of Engineers in Waltham from .a Coastal <br /> Engineering Research Center in Mississippi informs Mr. Gordon- <br /> The draft report is preliminary indicated Mr. Gordon. <br /> contained in the draft is a history of the Spit in terms of <br /> transformation, growth, migration, width, diminished elevation <br /> and storm surae effects . <br />
