BOARD OF SELECTMEN Page <br />MINUTES <br />THURSDAY4 FEBRUARY lli-.1901 <br />BUDGET WORKSHOP: <br />Legal/Engineering/Consulting Expense: 00 : <br />Mrs, Greelish recommended to place the sum of $20,000 into <br />the Data Processing Expense Account rather than <br />Legal/Engineering/ consulti g'since the fee is used for the <br />Computer Consultant and related fees* <br />Mr. TThr itenour indicated that he ha-s preference to leave the <br />money in the LegalEng/consulting Account to allow for greater <br />flexibility to expend funds if necessary, He noted that he i <br />currently working on an RFP for a computer consultant at this <br />time. <br />*The +Board concurs with the Executive Secretary at this <br />time. There is no change to the expense of the <br />Legal Eng/consulting at this time. <br />Economic Development; 11: <br />The sum of $13,000 has been recommenced as an Economic <br />Development Expense. Mrs, l ommelmeyer noted that this is <br />considered a separate line item for brochures and consultant fees <br />and not a salary or wage, She noted that the consultant would be <br />an independent contractor with no specific hours and not a Town <br />employee. <br />*The Board concurs with the recommendation of $13,000 to the <br />Economic Development Account* <br />Salaries: <br />As noted by the Executive Secretary, there are no cost of <br />living increases in the budget projections* Step increases have <br />been included according to the PAP and Uni-on contracts. <br />Mr. Whritenour indicated that the Personnel Board is currently <br />reviewing a proposal to increase the amount of steps. He noted <br />that some employee's are at their maximum step level. <br />Assessors Salary -Elect: 0031: <br />*The motion was made by Selectman Mills to increase the <br />Assessors Salary -Elect Account to 300 or 100 per each <br />Assessor per year. The motion was seconded by Selectman costa. <br />VOTE: Unanimous. 3- . <br />
