BOARD OF SELECTMEN Page <br />MINUTES <br />TUSDA, FEBRUA 1 19 <br />BUDGET WORKSHOP <br />Herring Warden Expense: 0 72: <br />It was noted that the expense account has increased in the <br />budget of the Herring Warden due to the installation of a new <br />sediment basin. *The Board concurs with the recommended increase <br />in this account. <br />Shellfish Salary/Wage: 0: <br />Mr. Whritenour has approved the departmental request of <br />$29,174.96, The Board concurs with the recommendation. <br />Waterways Maintenance: 0: <br />It was noted that a special article has authorized the <br />funding of navigational aids and moorings, etc. The money is <br />placed into reserve and is part of the Harbor Management Fund. <br />Selectman vaccaro recommended to review the term of the special <br />authorization. <br />School: 1; <br />The recommendation was made by the Executive Secretary to <br />increase the budget of the School Department b $200,000. Upon <br />review of current revenue available, the sun of $200,000 can be <br />allocated to devote to the School without seriously limiting the <br />budget or increasing the revenues informed Mr. Whritenour. It <br />was noted that the sum of $200,000 is a 4 increase. <br />*The motion was made by selectman Costa to corm t to a level <br />funded budget of $5,300,000 in the school Department. The motion <br />was seconded by Selectman Vaccaro . VOTE: Unanimous. 4- • <br />Falmouth Tuition: 910 <br />The Board is in agreement to hold the Falmouth Tuition <br />until further review. Selectman Vaccaro will locate the ten <br />point guideline relative to enrollment projectiono <br />It was noted that the current cost per pupil is 4, 9.1 . <br />The proposal for FY 94 is $4,977.47; tuition per student <br />attending Falmouth High School. <br />It was noted that Dr. DeMourat anticipates 310 students for <br />sunn of $15,430.159 Mr. Whritenour has projected 275-280 students <br />and has allowed for growth by increasing the projection to 3000 <br />
