Selectman Vaccaro expressed,,opinion <br />thp matter is not a "black and white issue" and sees no harm in <br />maintaining the. status quo, Selectman Mills stated <br />that she <br />voted no previously; she is now changing her vote based upon the <br />fact the situation has become critical. <br />***The motion was made by Selectmen Mills The Board approve a <br />Building Inspector Appointment effective immediately through June <br />19 9 ; 'the -motion was made second by Selectmen Costa; motion <br />passed. VOTE: Majority. �1& Selectmen Vaccaro was opposed. <br />FY 94 Budget Discussions <br />Chairman Caffyn expressed opinion this issue needs further <br />review and discussion. She recommended the ratter be left on <br />the agenda for the next meeting, as The Board will be meeting <br />again this week. <br />*The Board is in agreement to leave the FY 94 Budget <br />Discussion on the agenda for the next scheduled meeting. <br />NEW BUSINESS <br />Communication from the Town Clerk re:__ Redistrictin <br />A short dissertation was given by Jane Labute, Town Clerke <br />regarding the necessity to redistrict. She informed there i <br />room for growth in the present four precincts, and the proposed <br />redistricting will be good until Mashpeers population roaches <br />24r0. <br />There was no public discussion. Nancy Caff yn expressed <br />opinion New Seabury and Popponneset are divided and should have <br />been kept together. <br />***The motion was made by Selectman Costa The Board approve the <br />redistricting as proposed; Selectman Vaccaro made second the <br />motion; motion passed. VOTE: Unanimous. 4-0. <br />Appointment of Pro ert Lister/Data Collector. <br />Rita Sousa, Chairman of the. Personnel Board, stated from <br />the- three top condidates , the unanimous choice of The Board of <br />Assessors and Director of Assessing and The Personnel Board i <br />Gregg Fraser. The choice was based on -Mr. raser's background <br />and experience* He is currently on The Board of Assessors in <br />Barnstable; has extensive commercial and residential inspection <br />background. With the bakload of work in the Assessing <br />49 Department, it was felt Mr. Fraser could tackle it immediately. <br />
