She expressed <br />opinion the cost is not a, shattering amount, yet the public will <br />think otherwise. <br />Chairman Caf yn stated everyone has a right to his/her own <br />opinion; she thanked Selectman Costa for informing The Board. <br />Ms. . Caffyn introduced lengthy discussion on newly organized <br />training sessions. Mr. whrit nour- informed every Town employee <br />has been asked to attend; there have been sign-ups in the Police <br />Department; additional sessions may be needed. <br />OLD BUSINESS <br />Bee hwood Deed for Execution. <br />Executive Secretary Robert Whritenor stated on February 18, <br />19931 a 2 -page facsimile was seat to him from Thomas & Bailey,, <br />F. C . of Hyannis. The fax includes photocopies of quitclaim <br />deeds, settlement agreement, three checks s totalling $80,000, and <br />letters - - all relative to the Beeehwood matter. <br />Discussion followed. Mr. Whritenour explained the checks <br />will be hand -delivered to hint tomorrow{ the monies include all <br />but several hundred dollars which will be forthcoming within the <br />month, Because the original deeds have not been received by <br />Mashpee, the photocopies of the deeds will have to be signed by <br />The Selectmen and signatures notarized in order to have the deeds <br />recorded. <br />*The motion was made by Selectmen Mills The Board <br />approve the quitclaim deeds; the motion as made second by <br />Selectmen Costa; motion passed. VOTE: Unanimous. - . <br />Building Inspector Appointment. <br />Executive Secretary Robert whritenour explained this issue <br />has been. up in the air" and legal opinion has been sought from <br />Town Counsel. Begat opinion has been received dated February 1, <br />1993 stating there is no _basis for filling the position with a <br />temporary appointee. Town Counsel's recommendation is to fill <br />the position through June 30, 1; thereafter, the appointment <br />will be annual. <br />
