r BOARD OF SELECTMEN MINUTES MNDAY, MARCH 15, 199 Present: Selectman cafyn, Selectman vaccaror Selectman Mills, Selectman Jacobson, Selectman costa Executive Secretary Robert Whritenour Guests: Rita Sousa, Jane Stockbridge, Greg Taylor, Deidre Greelishf Bill Jones, Elizabeth Petti Meeting called to Order by Chairman caffyn at 6:30 p.m. Seasonal Liquor License Discussion: Attorney Marder of.Ropelman and Paige was present to discuss the issue of seasonal liquor licenses with the Board and license holders present. The seasonal applicants include; Retail Package Goods Store: Eleanor J, Woolf Best Buy Beverage► Inc. Arthur DePaul, Mngr, BIA, Inc. dba Deer crossing Market, Doug Beecy, Mngr. CommonVictualer: Popponeset Corp. dba Poppcnesset Inn Christopher Burden, Manager Popponeset Corp. dba Marketplace cafe & Raw Bar Barry M. Aldorisio, Manager Mr. Whritenour indicated that the Building Inspector, Board of Health, Tax Collector, Police chief and Fire chief have been requested to submit a preliminary report to the Board of Selectmen by Larch 22, 1993relative to the above seasonal liquor license establishments. Attorney Marder indicated that the seasonal liquor license applications are automatically renewed under the provisions of the MA General Laws; chapter 138. If the Board of Selectmen questions a renewal or if an establishment is in violation, the Board of Selectmen have the right to schedule a public hearing on the utter informed Attorney Marder. No license application will be issued if the license applicant has been convicted of a felony or convicted of a drug violation indicated Attorney Marder as per the statute., All fees must be paid before the Board votes to renew a license according to the provisions of the MA General Laws; Chapter 1, Section 700 I*
