r <br />BOARD OF SELECTMEN <br />MINUTES <br />MNDAY, MARCH 15, 199 <br />Present: Selectman cafyn, Selectman vaccaror Selectman Mills, <br />Selectman Jacobson, Selectman costa <br />Executive Secretary Robert Whritenour <br />Guests: Rita Sousa, Jane Stockbridge, Greg Taylor, <br />Deidre Greelishf Bill Jones, Elizabeth Petti <br />Meeting called to Order by Chairman caffyn at <br />6:30 p.m. <br />Seasonal Liquor License Discussion: <br />Attorney Marder of.Ropelman and Paige was present to discuss <br />the issue of seasonal liquor licenses with the Board and license <br />holders present. <br />The seasonal applicants include; <br />Retail Package Goods Store: <br />Eleanor J, Woolf <br />Best Buy Beverageâ–º Inc. Arthur DePaul, Mngr, <br />BIA, Inc. dba Deer crossing Market, Doug Beecy, Mngr. <br />CommonVictualer: <br />Popponeset Corp. dba Poppcnesset Inn <br />Christopher Burden, Manager <br />Popponeset Corp. dba Marketplace cafe & Raw Bar <br />Barry M. Aldorisio, Manager <br />Mr. Whritenour indicated that the Building Inspector, Board <br />of Health, Tax Collector, Police chief and Fire chief have been <br />requested to submit a preliminary report to the Board of <br />Selectmen by Larch 22, 1993relative to the above seasonal liquor <br />license establishments. <br />Attorney Marder indicated that the seasonal liquor license <br />applications are automatically renewed under the provisions of <br />the MA General Laws; chapter 138. If the Board of Selectmen <br />questions a renewal or if an establishment is in violation, the <br />Board of Selectmen have the right to schedule a public hearing on <br />the utter informed Attorney Marder. <br />No license application will be issued if the license <br />applicant has been convicted of a felony or convicted of a drug <br />violation indicated Attorney Marder as per the statute., All fees <br />must be paid before the Board votes to renew a license according <br />to the provisions of the MA General Laws; Chapter 1, Section <br />700 <br />I* <br />
