BOARD OF SELECTMEN Page <br />MINUTES <br />M NDA MARCH 221_1993 <br />George Baker re; Actinq Deput Fire Chief. <br />The above item will be.deferred at this time., <br />COMMUNICATIONS AND CORRESPONDENCE:' <br />Historical Commission; Communication was received from the <br />Historical Commission in appreciation for the recent interior <br />painting as done by Ray Martini and Leigh Potter -in the Archives <br />Building. <br />OLD BUSINESS: <br />1 ointrr nt of Jr/Sr High School SiteCommittee: <br />The following expressed interest to service the Jr Sr High <br />School Site Committee; - <br />Merry Sue Ahlgren Bill Jones Bruce Fulton <br />Dill Marterios Peter Dins io Steven Greelish <br />Janice Mills Joe Polito <br />It was noted that the Building Inspector and Director of <br />Public Works are ex -of f lc i o members of the Site Committee.. <br />**The motion was made by Selectman Costa to approve the above <br />s members ers of the Jr/Sr High School Site Committee. The notion <br />was seconded by Selectman Jacobson. VOTE: Unanimous. . - . <br />NEW BUSINESS: <br />U, S. Fish and Wildlife Service; <br />Selectman Costa indicated that the U.S. Fish and Wildlife <br />Service has interest in protecting wildlife refuge in Mas pee . <br />The U , S . Fish and Ti l life' Service would like to study500-1000 <br />acres of undeveloped land as a possible wildlife reserve area <br />informed Selectman. Costa . <br />The areas of interest involve undeveloped land ' in the area <br />of Great oak F a /Redbrook Road and Bufflehoad Bay indicated <br />Selectman Costa. The areas under consideration are home to an <br />abundant number of plant and wildlife species noted Selectman <br />Costa. <br />***The motion was made by Selectman Mills to authorize the <br />Executive Secretary to execute a letter on behalf of the Board of <br />Selectmen to the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service to accept the <br />proposal to study the parcels of interest for wildlife refine. <br />The motion was seconded by Selectman jaco son, VOTE: Unanimous. <br />- . <br />
