BOARD OF SELECTMEN Page MINUTES IS MONDAY, APRIL 22, 1993 OLD BUSINESS: Execution of Donnas ' s Lane Betterment Assessment Mr. Whritenour indicated that Town Counsel has reviewed the document related to the Order of Assessment for Betterments to Donna's Lane. It conforms with the provisions of the Massachusetts General Laws; Chapter 80, ***The notion was made by S le.ctmatn. Jacobson to approve and execute the Order of Assessments for Betterments to Donna's Lame as adopted on April 2, 1993. The motion was seconded by Selectman Vaccaro, VOTE: Unanimous. 3- . Memo from the Waterways Commission re Recommendations/Update: The Waterways Commission submitted a memo to the Board of Selectmen dated April 8, 1993 relative to the Discover Flying Funfest and Kayaking Clinic. The request for a kayaking clinic was withdrawn by Eastern. Mountain Sports. Selectman Jacobson related concerns to the Discover Flying 1;40 Funfest and excessive noise on M shpee Wa eby Pond* It was noted that the WWC has recommended to approve the flying event subject to the understanding that approval for the second -day (May 1 could be revoked by the Harbormaster if problems occur on the first day May l . ***The motion was made by Selectman v cc ro to approve the Discover Flying Funfest as recommended by the Waterways Commission. The motion was seconded by Selectman Caffyn, VOTE; Favorable. -1, Selectman Jacobson is in opposition. NEW BUSINESS: Three Position vacanc a ue is forApproval: Gus Frederick was present to discuss the vacancy requests of the Leisure Services Department. The vacancy positions include; Head Lifeguards Lifeguard and Gate Attendant. It was noted that the Personnel Board concurs with the recommendation of the Leisure Services Department. ' *The notion was made by Selectman Vaeoaro to approve of advertisement for the above three vacancies in the Leisure Services Department.
