0 <br />4D <br />. is <br />BOARD OF SELECTMEN-} Page <br />MINUTES <br />M ND y APRIL 26e 199`2 <br />Economic Developments <br />To recap; a clear, concise set of specific guidelines as set <br />forth by the Board of selectmen is necessary for Mashpee' s <br />economic and industrial future informed Mr. Gordon. The specific <br />guidelines and implementation of such should be of a reasonable <br />amount of time for a new business to establish itself. <br />Jamie Regan, a member of the Economic Development committee <br />for several years indicated that it has been almost one year <br />since the committee has met. For lack of action, it is <br />frustrating not having a full committee in place with a specific <br />task or function indicated' Mr. Regan* <br />Selectman Caffyn indicated that the Eo'onomic Development <br />Committee is a seven member committee, There are currently two <br />members. Mr. Za mer has offered to recommend members of the <br />business community to become active members of the committee: <br />9:13 p,m. Recess 9:20 p.m. Meeting Resumed <br />COMMUNICATIONS AND CORRESPONDENCE: <br />Great oak Road Reimbursement: Future agenda item of <br />discussion, selectman caf fyn asked if the Town is committed tted to <br />the road project if the reimbursement is accepted? <br />Communication; Town of Barnstable: Future agenda item of <br />discussion. The Town of Barnstable has voted not to site an off <br />track betting theater in Barnstable. Communication was received <br />requesting the Board's support to deny this proposal* <br />Street sweeping; correspondence was received from Seabrook <br />Shores as to the Board's policy regarding street sweeping. <br />Mr. Whritenour indicated that the service is privatized for <br />public roads. <br />Moor ing Update Report: Mr. Whr i tenour indicated that the <br />sum of $27,000 has been collected this year. Several changes <br />made this year include; a► new style billing format and complete <br />implementation of the 'down bylaw granting the authority to revoke <br />a license for unpaid taxes, Mr. Whritenour noted that as a <br />result of the bylaw enforcement, many unpaid taxes have been <br />collected4p <br />Selectman costa recommended to highlight the change of <br />address and boat information change that appears on the back of <br />the bill format., <br />
