I <br />� I <br />` BOARD OF SELECTMEN <br />MINUTES <br />MONDAY , JUNE 14, 1993 <br />Present: Selectman vaccaro, selectman Mills, selectman Jacobson, <br />Selectman Cafyn, Selectman Costa <br />Executive secretary Robert Whritenour <br />Guests: Deidre Greelish, Tom Fudala, Deputy Cooper, <br />Elias McQuaid, Al Polsie Pahl Ott, Greg Taylor <br />Meeting Called to Order by Chairman vaccaro at <br />7:17 p.m. <br />APPROVAL OF MINUTES; June 7, 1993 <br />*Selectman Caffyn recommended to defer the acceptance of the <br />minutes of Monday, June 7. 1993 Regular and. Executive sessions at <br />this time for further clarification. <br />PUBLIC DISCUSSION: <br />Cape Cod Regional Transit Authority: <br />***The motion was made by Selectman Caffyn to place the <br />discussion of the Proposed summer Shuttle on the Board's agenda <br />under the topic of Old Business. The motion was seconded by <br />Selectman Jacobson. VOTE: Unanimous, 5-. <br />7:21 p.m, Elias McQuaid re: Fo estdale Wells and John's Pond <br />Plume Update: <br />Elias McQuaid and Tim Begley of the Department of <br />Environmental Protection and Ed Pesce of the IRP; Massachusetts <br />Military Reservation were present to speak on the Forestdale <br />Wells and John's Pond Plume. <br />Mr, McQuaid presented the Board will mate i.a 1 relative to <br />the Es-12 Update and ABB Environmental services Fieldwork Update <br />for review. <br />Mr* McQuaid indicated that he has been testing John's Pond <br />on a monthly basis for voc ' s . The samples indicate no traces to <br />date of contaminants in the pond, <br />Additional monitoring wells were installed last March and <br />have detected an advance in two plumes informed Mr. McQuaid. <br />Mr. McQuaid has recommended to test the pond on a two weep <br />basis and request MMR to continue to pay for the tests and <br />manpower as done last summer.. <br />0 <br />
