f <br />a <br />i s ■ <br />BiARD of SELECTMEN Page <br />i MINUTES <br />J <br />is <br />TUEDA ?+TUNE 29L 1993 <br />Reappointments; Items placed on Hold: <br />Police Department Administrative Clerk: Mary oorey <br />It is the agreement Of the Board to hold -the reappointment <br />of diary Cooney as Administrative Clerk of the Police Department <br />until further information is obtained with regards to the status <br />of this position. <br />Council on Aging: Frank F. Flicks/Aurora Bird: <br />The above were placed on hold by Selectman Caffn. <br />Selectman Caf f n recommended to review the role of the Council on <br />Aging in its entirety. She noted that many Council on Aging <br />members are not actively involved in the programs of the Council <br />on Aging. <br />Seniors who actively participate ' i <br />should e nvolved as <br />members of the Council on Aging indicman Caffyn. She <br />noted that several members of the Council on Aging were called to <br />obtain their opinion. <br />Selectman Jacobson indicated that many members of the <br />Council on Aging are active members and are involved in many <br />programs offered. <br />After talkin q with several members of the Council on Aging, <br />Selectman Caffyn indicated that there has to be opportunities for <br />seniors who are actively involved in the programs to participate <br />in the advisory group. The role of the Council on Aging should <br />e reviewed by the Board related Selectman Caffn . <br />Selectman Costa recommended to place the discussion of the <br />role of the Council on Aging as a future agenda item. The Board <br />is in agreement. <br />*The motion was made by Selectman Jacobson to appoint Frank <br />F , Hicks and Auroral Bird to the Council on Aging for terms to <br />expire ' June 30, 1995. The motion was seconded by Selectman <br />Mills* � VOT : Unanimous. -0 . <br />4 <br />Harbormaster a ter Appointments: Edward Gargiulo: <br />It was noted that Mr. Gargiulo has resigned from the <br />position of Harbormaster Assistant. <br />0 <br />
