80ARD OF SELECTMEN Page <br />i <br />MINUTES <br />4 MONDAYr JUNE 29, 1993 <br />Reappointments: Items placed on Hold: <br />Council on Aging Director: Christine Donovan: <br />Selectman Caffyn related concerns with regards to the <br />employee evaluation procedure. An employee has the right to be <br />present, to respond and request a hearing if items are to he <br />discussed about the employee indicated Selectman Caffyne <br />This is not a disciplinary hearing and it is not a meeting <br />to discuss any complaint against an employee related Selectman <br />accaro, The issues that can be raised are those that are <br />related to the probationary employee's report& <br />The issues concern jab performance and professional <br />competence indicated Selectman Vaccaro. <br />It would have been more appropriate to give Christine <br />Donovan an opportunity to respond, especially since it has been <br />released as unsatisfactory whether it is a draft or not indicated <br />Selectman caffyn . <br />*The motion was made by Selectman Mills to extend the <br />probationary status of Christine Donovan for six months to be <br />reviewed after a three month period. The motion was seconded by <br />Selectman Caffyn4p Discussion followed, <br />Selectman Caffyn indicated that the Council on Paging members <br />appeared to be satisfied after comments made last night, <br />Rita Sousa recommended, if the motion passes to grant an <br />extension of the probationary performance only and not to <br />benefits, Ms. Sousa noted that Ms, Donovan has been without <br />benefits for six months. <br />The notion was amended by selectman Mills to extend the <br />probationary period of Christine Donovan based on performance <br />only. All groups and appropriate liaisons shall set goals for <br />the council an Aging Director. In three months, the goals shall <br />be reviewed to be resolved. The motion was seconded by selectman <br />caffyn .
