t i w BOARD of SELECTMEN MINUTES MONDA , JULY l 2 , 1993 - - - - .- - - Present: Selectman Vaccaro, Selectman Mills, Selectman Jacobson, Selectman Cafyn, Selectman Costa Executive Secretary Robert whritenour Guests: Al Rolsi, Deidre Greelishr Jane Stockbridge, Betty Jones, Elias McQuaid Meeting Called to order by Chairman Vaccaro at 7:07 p.m. Many senior citizens were present to discuss senior center activities, Due to the exceeded limit of the root capacity, Selectman Vaccaro recommended to schedule the discussion o senior related activities in the Great Room after the joint meeting in with the Sandwich Board -of Selectmen* . Due to the adamant request of the seniors, the Sandwich Board of Selectmen have agreed to postpone the joint discussion for fifteen minutes. COMMUNICATIONS AND CORRESPONDENCE: Verbatim Correspondence from Town Counsel re:Grievance: Selectman Vaccaro read the memo of July 8r 1993 as furnished is by 'down Counsel relative to the Non Reappointment of the Council on Acing Director. (enclosed) Teresa Hyde -Reed, Ex -Chairman of the Council on Aging: We are doing the same thing, the same old way and getting the same results. I personally cane to Bob Whritenour because several members of our community notified rune about the abuse that was taking on. Hyde -Reed: The balance of power that Mrs. Jacobson, still running the Council on Aging needs. And there were tapes and people and witnesses.*. I came to Bob because I said I witnessed this once before actually, twice before, The first time we had a petition and we did not know what to coo to oust Mrs. Jacobson as Chairman of the Council on Aging* Ms, Hyde -Reed: We then went to Falmouth, Sandwich and Bourne and spoke to their directors and then we came to Town Counsel and we came to the selectmen. And if all of this was to be cone, she was given a choice of resigning or we were,going to go public with the muse of Bob Connell. Now that's past.
