r V BOARD OF SELECTMEN Page 1 MINUTES NEW BUSINESS: Flag Day Parade Suggestions: The Board submitted suggestions relative to the Annual Flag Day Parade dated July 8, 1993. It is' the agreement of the Board to forward the suggestions to Robert Sullivan for consideration. A letter of appreciation wild -be included to Mr. Sullivan and members of the VFW for their efforts. Selectman Costa has offered to serve as liaison to the above to aid in' formulating a committee to aid in the -endeavor of the - parade. One consideration suggested was to include the Town in joint sponsorship of the parade. Street _Closure Request: *The motion was made by Selectman Costa to grant the request of Meredith H llinan to close Canonchet Road as approved by the Acting Fire Chief and Chief of Police on Saturday, August 7, 1993 from 1:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. excluding the participation of the Department of Public Works. The notion was seconded by Selectman Mills. VOTE: Unanimous. - . Communication front . EC D re: Mash ee Village Project: Selectman Jacobson has stepped down for the above discussion. r. Whritenour indicated that the ECCD Low Income Mousing Tax Credit Program is the sate program as offered last year. New investors have applied for funding . The Selectmen are required to complete the Local Support Summary Sheet informed. The motion was seconded by Selectman Oaffyn. VOTE: Unanimous. -o.
