BOARD of SELECTMEN MEN Page MINUTES - M O N A , MAY 17, 1993 Discussion relative to Compensation for Acting Deputy Fire Chief *'The motion was made by Selectman Costa to appoint Lt . Sheldon Hamblin as Acting Deputy Fire Chief, His rate of compensation during the period that he is Acting Deputy Fire Chief is to be set at the P.A.P. Grade 18, Step 3 rate of $20.25 per hour. The increase is retroactive to March 2, 1993. No overtime shall be paid during his term as Acting Deputy Fire Chief. The motion was seconded by Selectman Mills. VOTE: unanimous. 5-0. 8 :15 p , m , Nord Ferriday _ CranberrX L og Coordinator: Toni Ferriday was present to -discuss the proposal relative to employing a cranberry log consultant to oversee the cranberry bogs in Mashpee. Nis. Ferriday indicated that funds are available in the cranberry bog maintenance account to pay for the consultant in fiscal year 1994. Selectman Mills has offered to work with the Conservation Commission and Executive Secretary to develop an 1 FP for consultant services to oversee the cranberry bogs. Beach Sticker Proposal Gus Frederick was present to discuss and review the beach sticker proposal with the Board. Mr. Frederick presented different projection scenario's related to. fee increases, He also submitted a beach sticker policy proposal and comparisons o fees from surrounding towns for review... 'three scenario's as proposed include; five dollar increase for the resident $2 and interval increase $20 Residential stickers to remain the sarme $1 The interval ownership be charged a per unit per week fee. The fee is used upon 50% occupancy. Residential fee to remain the same. An increase in the interval ownership based upon 5 occupancy. Mr. Frederick presented a sample beach card to control entrance and egress to beaches for review. He will return next week with further recommendations to the beach sticker er proposal* 4P
