BOARD of SELECTMEN MEN Page <br />MINUTES - <br />M O N A , MAY 17, 1993 <br />Discussion relative to Compensation for Acting Deputy Fire <br />Chief <br />*'The motion was made by Selectman Costa to appoint <br />Lt . Sheldon Hamblin as Acting Deputy Fire Chief, His rate of <br />compensation during the period that he is Acting Deputy Fire <br />Chief is to be set at the P.A.P. Grade 18, Step 3 rate of $20.25 <br />per hour. The increase is retroactive to March 2, 1993. No <br />overtime shall be paid during his term as Acting Deputy Fire <br />Chief. The motion was seconded by Selectman Mills. VOTE: <br />unanimous. 5-0. <br />8 :15 p , m , Nord Ferriday _ CranberrX L og Coordinator: <br />Toni Ferriday was present to -discuss the proposal relative <br />to employing a cranberry log consultant to oversee the cranberry <br />bogs in Mashpee. <br />Nis. Ferriday indicated that funds are available in the <br />cranberry bog maintenance account to pay for the consultant in <br />fiscal year 1994. <br />Selectman Mills has offered to work with the Conservation <br />Commission and Executive Secretary to develop an 1 FP for <br />consultant services to oversee the cranberry bogs. <br />Beach Sticker Proposal <br />Gus Frederick was present to discuss and review the beach <br />sticker proposal with the Board. Mr. Frederick presented <br />different projection scenario's related to. fee increases, He <br />also submitted a beach sticker policy proposal and comparisons o <br />fees from surrounding towns for review... <br />'three scenario's as proposed include; <br />five dollar increase for the resident $2 and interval <br />increase $20 <br />Residential stickers to remain the sarme $1 The <br />interval ownership be charged a per unit per week fee. <br />The fee is used upon 50% occupancy. <br />Residential fee to remain the same. An increase in the <br />interval ownership based upon 5 occupancy. <br />Mr. Frederick presented a sample beach card to control <br />entrance and egress to beaches for review. He will return next <br />week with further recommendations to the beach sticker er proposal* <br />4P <br />
