BOARD OF SELECTMEN Page 8 MINUTES MONDAY, JUNE_71 1993 OLD BUSINESS: o r re snde'nce Procedure: r. Wiritenour submitted a proposed correspondence procedure for the Board's review. The goal is to provide full access of all correspondence to Board Members and provide a binder system for press and public review. *The Board is in agreement to turn the binders over on a two weep basis and evaluate the new correspondence ' system in 60 days. 1t was noted that the selectmen will receive a log of all correspondence in their weekly packet. Important materials and pin -ions received from Town counsel will continue to be copied to the Board on a regular basis. Peer to Peer Program Selectman Mills presented the Executive Secretary with the objective to request the assistance of the Executive Office o Communities and Development's Eo Peer -to -Peer Technical Assistance Program for consideration. Mr. Whritenour presented a draft letter to ED requesting support to impler ent .ir noVative or streamlined government processes. Specifically, assistance is required to work with the Public safety committee to develop a proposed public safety management staffing plan noted Mr. Whritenour. Selectman Mills indicted that the Town Planner has been requested to review utilization of the Peer -to -Peer Technical Assistance Program for the Local Comprehensive Plan, *The motion was made by Selectman Mills to authorize the Executive Secretary to send the letter as drafted in support, of the Executive Office of Communities and Development's Peer -to - Peer Technical Assistance Program. The motion was seconded y Selectman Jacobson, VOTE: Unanimous. - . ***The motion was made by Selectman Caffyn to release the sun of $5000 from the Police Department to the DispatchingSalary- Wage Account for the purpose of funding two dispatchers on the first two shifts seven days per week.
