BOARD OF SELECTMEN Page 4 <br />MINUTES <br />. MONDAY, JUNE 7, 1993 <br />7:38 p.m. <br />DPW Director re: Annual Bids <br />Mr. Taylor was present to discuss the summary of Annual Bias <br />dated June 1, 1993. .All low bid estimates were selected by the <br />Director of Public Works. <br />*The motion was made by Selectman Costa to approve the Annual, <br />Bids as recommended by the DPW Director. The emotion was seconded <br />by selectman Jacobson. VOTE: Unanimous, -o0 <br />Public Hearin Road Pace <br />Selectman vaccaro opened the Public Hearing at p#m, for <br />the purpose of discussing the application of Falmouth Track Club <br />to sponsor a 10K Road Race for the benefit of the Mashpee Chamber <br />of Commerce Scholarship Fund`to be held August 1, 1993. <br />Mr. Taylor was present to discuss the road race application <br />with the Board. The non-profit race is scheduled to begin at <br />p.m. The course is a continuation of the Bobby Byrne's 10K <br />course noted Mr. Taylor. <br />The Police and Fire Departments have submitted positive <br />response to the proposal related Mr. Taylor. He is scheduled to <br />review the details of the race with the above. <br />Being no further comment, Selectman vaccaro closed the <br />Public Hearing at :50 p,m. <br />*The motion was made by selectman Costa to approve the <br />application as submitted for the Popponesset Inn 10K Road Race. <br />The motion was seconded by selectman Caffyn. VOTE: Unanimous. <br />5-0 0 <br />COMMUNICATIONS AND CORRESPONDENCE* <br />NCE <br />Dare Graduation: selectmen Members received gifts of <br />appreciation from the DARE part-ic i pants . <br />Mashpee village - Playground proposal: <br />*For disclosuref Selectman Jacobson indicated that she -serves <br />on the Board of Directors of the Mashpee Village Association. <br />This is a non -paid position and should not conflict the <br />discussion of the proposed playground. <br />A small playground has been proposed to be constructed by <br />the Mashpee village Association and Leisure Services Department <br />in conjunction with the JTEC Summer Youth Employment Program <br />informed Mr, Whr i tenour in Attaqu in Park. <br />
