BOARD OF SELECTMEN Fame <br />MINUTES <br />M NDA , JUNE 7r 1998 <br />7:50 p.m, Selectman costa left the Meeting. <br />Mashpee Village - Playground Proposal: <br />***The motion was made by Selectman Caffyn to place the <br />discussion of the Mashpee village - Playground Proposal on the <br />Board's agenda. The motion was seconded by selectman Mills, <br />VOTE: Unanimous. -o. <br />r. Whritenour indicated that Mashpee Village has requested <br />tentative approval from the Board of Selectmen to further discuss <br />the proposal at their meeting on June 8, 1998. This is a <br />positive proposal with direct benefits to the community noted <br />Mr, Whritenour, <br />*The motion was made by Selectman Mills to send a letter of <br />support to Mashpee village relative to the proposed playground <br />and.reguest further information pertaining to the project <br />proposal. The motion was seconded by Selectman Caffyn. VOTE: - <br />Unanimous. -o . <br />7:59 p.m. Selectman Costa returned. <br />R <br />OLD BUSINESS. <br />School Building Committee Membership. <br />It is the agreement of the Board to include the Town <br />Planner as an Ex-officio member of the Jr/Sr High School Building <br />• Committee. <br />A memo will be submitted to all Department Head's and <br />Employee's with regards to consulting the Town Planner. <br />It was noted that the Board will discuss the possible <br />expansion of the Jr/Sr High school Building. Committee prior to <br />October Town Meeting. <br />8:95 p.m. Robert Sherman re: Nutrient Loain <br />Conservation Agent, Robert Sherman was present to discuss <br />concerns relative to the effect of nutrient loading on water <br />bodies. Also present for discussion was Dro Rick -Crawford; <br />Director of Research Waquoit Bay NERR and Maggie Geist; Resource <br />Translator Waquoit Bay NERR, (National Estuarine Research <br />Reserve) <br />0 <br />
