BOARD OF SELECTMEN Page <br />MINUTES <br />MONDA UGUST.9L 13 <br />Draf t letter to Daniel Santos for approval: <br />The Board reviewed the letter as drafted to Mr. Santos. It <br />is the agreement of the Board to allow Mr. Wiritenour to revise <br />the form of the letter in item number two, In closure, <br />Mr. Santos will be requested to reconsider the payment of testing <br />on a bimonthly basis. <br />A copy of the letter to Mr, Santos will be forwarded to <br />Congressman man Studds and Mark Forest for input and review. <br />Memo from the Town Planner re: Coastal Resource Management <br />Committee and Sewer Commission: <br />Mr. Fudala has recommended to activate the Coastal Resources <br />Management Committee aitd Sewer Commission to serve as sub. - <br />committees of the Local Planning Committee as per his memo o <br />July 16, 19930 <br />*The motion was made by Selectman Mills to appoint Selectman <br />Jacobson as a member of the Coastal Resources Management <br />Committee. The motion was seconded by Selectman Costa. VOTE: <br />Unanimous. -O. Selectman Jacobson abstained from voting* <br />It is the consensus of the Board to advertise to fill the <br />vacancies of the Coastal Resources Management Committee and Sewer <br />Commission* Dr. DeMoura will be consulted with regards to the <br />appointment of an ADA member to the above committees. <br />:15 p,m. Leisure Services Director: <br />Gus Frederick was present to -discuss his proposal to <br />reinstitute the Child Development Program. The Leisure Service <br />Advisory Council voted to move forward with this proposal <br />informed Mr, Frederic]. <br />The program was formally known as the Ma s pee Child <br />Development Program noted Mr. Frederick, As a result of <br />financial complications, the group has dissolved.' <br />The program itself will be established for 3 and 4 year old <br />children, five half days per week during .the school year noted <br />r. Frederick. The recreation building is available for the self <br />sustaining programs <br />***The motion was made by Selectman Oa fyn to support the Child <br />Development Program as recommended, The motion was seconded by <br />Selectman Jacobson.
