so <br />40 <br />0 <br />BOARD OF SELECTMEN Page 7 <br />MINUTES <br />MONDAY, AUGUST 23, 1993 <br />Memo relative to Street Light Update: <br />Mr. Taylor submitted a memo relative to the request for <br />street lights dated July 26, 1993 for the Board's review and <br />approval. <br />It is the consensus of the Board to obtain further <br />information from Com-Electric as to the location and number of <br />Town and private street lights in Mashpee. The DPW Director has <br />been authorized to prioritize the list of request for street <br />lights. This item will appear as a future agenda item of <br />discussion. <br />Memo from the DPW Director re: Bicycle Storage Rack: <br />The Cape Cod Commission has been awarded a grant to provide <br />bicycle storage lockers to encourage bicycle use informed <br />Mr. Taylor. Interested Cape municipalities may obtain three <br />units. <br />***It is the consensus of the Board to accept the proposal for <br />three bicycle storage racks to be located in central locations <br />for public/private transportation. <br />Memo from the DPW Director re: Repair to Pine Ridge Road: <br />***The motion was made by Selectman Caffyn to approve the <br />repair of Pine Ridge Road as requested. The motion was seconded <br />by Selectman Costa. VOTE: Unanimous. 5-0. <br />Acceptance of Cranberry Bog Attendant Proposal: <br />***The motion was made by Selectman Caffyn to accept the <br />Cranberry Bog Attendant Proposal; exempt from the provisions of <br />the MA G.L. c.268A. as specified in Town Counsel's memo of August <br />4, 1993. The Board of Selectmen will file a certification with <br />the Town Clerk to comply with the provisions of paragraph 9. The <br />motion was seconded by Selectman Mills. VOTE: Unanimous. 5-0. <br />***The motion was made by Selectman Mills to appoint Steven <br />R. Ball to the position of Cranberry Bog Attendant. The motion <br />was seconded by Selectman Jacobson. VOTE: Unanimous. 5-0. <br />
