K elmatn <br />It is the consensus of the- hoard to schedule a meeting with <br />Attorney Fopelm n and Attorney Lane on Wednesday, September 8, <br />1993 at 4:30 p.m. to discuss methods of cost control and <br />improving Town Counsel services. <br />Selectman Mills recommended to include a complete update o <br />all pending litigation in the above discussion. <br />Memo from the DPW Director re: Speed Bumps John's Pond <br />Ve,�n+-ene. <br />It is the consensus of the Board to oppose the proposal <br />relative to the use of speed bumps in John's Pond Estates. <br />} Mr. Whritenour will relate the Board's position to Michael Fordo. <br />Letter from Dr. DeMoura - School Committee Luncheon <br />The Board of Selectmen and Executive Secretary have been, <br />invited to attend the School Committee luncheon with the teachers <br />on Tuesday, September 71 1993 in the Middle School cafeto iume <br />Acgu i s i t i on of Prope�rtf Rr per <br />Mr. Whritenour, indicated that he received information <br />regarding the acquisition of the Stenberg property. It is the <br />consensus of the Board to discuss possible land acquisition in <br />Executive ession. <br />Communication from Town Counsel; <br />As requested by the Board, Town Counsel submitted response <br />relative to the new state liquor license laws. As provided under <br />the provisions of the MA General Law; Chapter 13, section 1B, <br />the Board is allowed to convert one seasonal liquor license into <br />a year round liquor license each -year indicated Mr. WhrFitenour. <br />The process involves a comparative Public Dearing and Town <br />Meeting article to approve -the above action noted Mr. Whritenoure <br />0 <br />
