Explanation: This article seeks to use funds available in the Waterways Account for he <br />replacement of a 1978 -Seahawl 21' boat, which has suffered serious deterioration and is currently <br />unsafe for offshore rescue. <br />Article 21: <br />To see if the Town will vote to raise and appropriate, borrow or transfer from available <br />funds a sure of money to the Truck Replacement Account or take any other action relating hereto. <br />Submitted by the Board of Selectmen <br />Enlanado; This article is to replace a 187 ton pickup truck for the Shellfish Department~ <br />Article 22: <br />To see if he Town will vote to change the purpose for which a -parcel of 'Town -owned land <br />in the custody and control of the Board of Selectmen, consisting of approximately 6,500 square <br />feet and located adjacent to the parking lot on -the forth side of he Fire Station on Route 151 <br />(Nathan Ellis Highway) is held, from geneml municipal purposes to the purposes of use as a <br />Community Garden by town residents pursuant to such terms and conditions as the Board of <br />Selectmen shall deem in he best interest of the Town, or take any other action relating thereto. <br />Submitted by the Board of Selectmen <br />16 1 : This article seeps to change the purpose for which this parcel is currently held in <br />order to allow its use as a Community Garden for he residents of Mashpee. <br />Article 23: <br />To see if the Torn will vote to amend the Zoning Bylaw by deleting the current Section <br />174-17 and replacing it with the following: <br />"f174-17. Continuance, extension or alteration -of Nonconforming Structures, or Uses <br />Lawfully ceased structures or uses may be continued, although not conforming with he <br />provision . s 6f`ihis chapter. Nonconforming single or two -fancily dwelling structures may be <br />changed, extended or altered if such change, extension or alteration complies with .the dimensional <br />requirements applicable to the lot under current provisions of Section '174-31-or, for lots which <br />have been developed pursuant to Section 174�21, complies with such requirements as were <br />applicable to initial construction of the dwelling under provisions of Section 174-21. The Board of Appeals shall follow the procedures specified in the General Laws <br />for Special Permits in processing requests for such findings.
