It Is intended that, by these programs and by the supple- <br /> Mental payments to be made by the Town of the difference <br /> between the applicable coverage and the appropriate salary <br /> schedule, the employee shall receive amounts which-all taken <br /> together shall equal, but not exceed, the ,salary regularly <br /> paid for his ordinary work period in the Town's service. <br /> d The Board may at any .time require an employee <br /> claiming disability to be examined by the 'own physician <br /> in order that a determination may be made, by the Board <br /> regarding the continuance of the disability. In -any event, <br /> the Town will not continue to compensate an individual l who <br /> is disabled in excess of three months except by decision <br /> of the Board based on careful evaluation of the facts. <br /> . Non-classified Positions <br /> (a) The Town uses the services of a number of part-time <br /> employees, Also,, there are individuals' who -are elected by <br /> the Town, or appointed by the Board of Selectmen, to per- <br /> form -certain functions for an annual fee, with no definite <br /> working hours. In general, employees working less than <br /> twenty hours per weep shall not be entitled to fringe <br /> benefits or indirect pay provisions; this includes individuals <br /> on-an annual retainer who do not work regularly twenty (20i <br /> hours per week. <br /> b In. general, all but elected part-tine employees come <br /> under the provisions of The Plan. However, the Board may <br /> be called upon for -considered judgment on problems involv- <br /> ing elected parttime-employees. <br /> 2 . Record Forms <br /> Copies of these items are available to interested persons <br /> and may be obtained by conta ting any member' of the Board. <br /> 25. Salary and wage Tables , <br /> Table i presents the Basic Salary and wage Schedule <br /> on which all Town salaries -and wages will be. based henbe- <br /> forth, unless the table is amended in future action by the <br /> Town. The Schedule is arranged in fifteen grades of ten <br /> steps each, 'There'is a, two'and one-half V2) per cent differ- <br /> ence between.adja-cent steps, and-a five per cent diff erence <br /> between corresponding steps in adjacent grades. <br /> r <br /> Table 11 present Salary and Nage Classifications with <br /> Position -Titles covering all non-elective positions in the <br /> Town, based on the grades and steps of Table L <br /> Tables I and II'are presented in the center-fold, <br /> l <br /> x <br />
