-12 - <br /> approved by the Board of Selectmen. <br /> . nest breaks shall be granted to each employee. Ten <br /> minutes 10 in the middle of the morning and ten minutes <br /> ( 1 0 ) in the middle of the afternoon. <br /> The salary for all employees shall be in accordance with <br /> the Salary Classification Schedule attached as Appendix A and <br /> Appendix B or as raised by periodic adjustments . <br /> 7 o salary shall be increased without the written approval <br /> of the Board . <br /> PAY DIFFERENTIAL TIAL - In case of serious illness, emergency <br /> leave or sudden resignation of a department head, an employee <br /> currently working for the town as an Assistant to the <br /> Department Dead : Deputy Police Chief, Deputy Fire Chief, <br /> Assistant Town Accountant, Assistant Building Inspector, <br /> Assistant Assessor, Assistant Town Planner, Assistant Town <br /> Engineer, Administrative Assistant shall be paid per day <br /> after 30 consecutive working days of the assignment providing <br /> prior approval is granted by the Personnel Board. A letter <br /> must be dubmitted, in writing to the Board in advance of <br /> payment or, in case of illness, a physician ' s statement that <br /> satisfies the Board ' s judgement as to further payments must <br /> e received. <br /> A The meed for the Fire apartment to maintain a suffi- <br /> cient number of paramedics is understood to be in <br /> the best interest of the town and its citizens , <br /> Accordingly, the Fire Chief and Deputy Fire Chief shad <br /> be eligible to receive pay differential as certified <br /> paramedics, if so certified .
