i <br /> -28- <br /> Section <br /> _Section . <br /> Any regular part-time employee who has worked as a continuous <br /> part-time employee with the town and then becomes a► regular <br /> full-time employee will be given credit for half the years of <br /> part-time service ori a pro-rated basis and shall be compen- <br /> sated for longevity pay as outlined in Section l provided the <br /> employee has served the requisite number years of service . <br /> Section 3 . <br /> Longevity pay shall be based upon the number of years of <br /> i <br /> full-time service as determined by an employee ' s anniversary <br /> date of employment and shall be paid to employees on their <br /> anniversary date of employment . <br /> Section 4 . <br /> Longevity shall not 'be included in the employee ' s base salary <br /> for the purposes of determining rate of overtime pay, holiday <br /> pay, or for any purpose other than retirement . <br /> Xiie <br /> EFFECT OF PARTIAL INVALIDITY <br /> The invalidity r subsequent illegality of any section of the <br /> Plan shall not invalidate any other section or provision <br /> thereof . <br /> XIX . <br /> APPROPRIATION <br /> No monies may be expended under this Plan until there has <br /> been an appropriation for the fiscal year in question, <br /> X. <br /> REPEAL OF INCONSISTENT BY-LAWS <br /> All prior By-L ws rules, regulations, or Town Meeting votes <br /> which may be in conflict with the provisions of this Plan <br />
