Step increases are not automatic and are to be based <br /> upon an employee ' s performance during the prior twelve ' 1 <br /> month period. Step increase recommendations shall be limited <br /> to one step per year except in unusual circumstances with the <br /> expressed written approval of the Personnel Board . An <br /> evaluation for new employees shall be clone every sit <br /> months for the first two years of employment . <br /> IV, SCOPE OF THE PLAT <br /> All positions in the Town are subject to the Plan and the <br /> hiring process . The following positions are excluded from <br /> receiving employee benefits and salary offered in the Plan: <br /> all elected officials, those in the School Department and <br /> those covered under collective bargaining agreements , The <br /> position of Health Agent and Assistant Health Agent shall be <br /> appointed by the Board of Health who will recommend the <br /> salary for the position but the position, otherwise, is <br /> subject to the Plan.
