Personal <br /> An employee who is a permanent full-time employee and is n o t <br /> under a collective bargaining agreement, is entitled to two <br /> regular work days off per calendar year without loss of pay <br /> for the conduct of personal business. Personal days are <br /> granted at the discretion of the appropriate Department Bead <br /> and are subject to the reeds of Town operations. If the <br /> employee is under a collective bargaining agreement, thea the <br /> employee should refer to that agreement. <br /> Holidays With Fay <br /> An employee who is a regular full-time or regular standard <br /> part-tine employee who works 20 or-, more hours per week will <br /> receive time off without loss of pay on the following State <br /> legal holidays: New Year's Day, Martin Luther King n a , <br /> President's Day, p'atriot's Day, Memorial Day, Independence <br /> Day, Labor, Davy, Columbus Day, Veteran's Darr, Thanksgiving <br /> Day, Christas Eve (if it falls on a weekday) , and Christmas <br /> Day. In the event that an employee is required to work on <br /> any of the legal holidays, he/she will receive compensatory <br /> time off. For those employees whose work schedule is Monday <br /> through Friday, be advised that all legal holidays that fall <br /> on a Saturday are observed on the Friday prior to the holiday <br /> and legal holidays that fail on a Sunday ar^e observed on the <br /> Monday following the holiday. <br /> *Employees who are covered under a collective bargaining <br /> agreement should refer to their agreements i <br /> Jury Duty <br /> The law requires that each regularly employed juror shall be <br /> paid regular wages by his employer, for the first three days, <br /> or part thereof, of ,furor service. Regular employment shall <br /> include part-time and temporary as long as the employment <br /> a <br /> hours of a juror reasonably may be determined by a' schedule <br /> or by custom and practice established during the three-month <br /> period preceding the term of service of such juror. If your <br /> are on the jury for more than three days, the state will pay <br /> your per day after the third day. In this event, any <br /> regular full-time employee required to serve on a jury shall <br /> be paid the difference between the compensation received from <br /> ,jury duty and his regular; compensation from the Town. Proper <br /> evidence of jury pay received must be submitted to the <br /> Accounting Office. Jury absence will be entered on each <br /> employee's record, but will not be courted in determining <br /> excess ive- absences <br /> Maternity Leave <br /> Whenever a regular full-time or regular standard part-time <br /> employee becomes pregnant, she shall furnish a certificate <br /> from her physician stating the expected date of her deliverys <br /> Y <br /> ,..1 <br />
