Vacation Policy, cont. <br /> aUpon satisfactory completion of the probationary <br /> period of sixmonths, and until completion of the <br /> first year of service, an employee shall be eligible <br /> to accrue one-half day of vacation for, each month <br /> worked retroactive to date of employment. <br /> b After completion of the first anniverary of service <br /> and to the third anniversary of service, an employer <br /> shall be eligible to accrue one day for each month <br /> worked,. <br /> c After completion of the third anniversary of service <br /> and to the tenth anniversary of service, an employee <br /> shall be eligible to accrue one and one-half days for <br /> each month worked. 4 <br /> d After completion of the tenth ann i verary of service, <br /> two days for each month worked. <br /> Nora-standard part-time employees who have worked a total of <br /> 760 hours during a fiscal year (15 hours weekly) are eligible <br /> for one week: of vacation at their average weekly rate of pay. <br /> Employees working fewer than 780 hour are' not eligible for <br /> paid vacation. <br /> Employees covered by collective bargaining agreements are not <br /> covered here. Please refer to respective collective <br /> bargaining agreement. <br /> Bereavement Leave <br /> a In the event of a death in a regular employee' immediate <br /> family, the Town will grant up to four (4) calendar days <br /> leave without loss of pay starting with the day of the <br /> death. For the purpose of this provision, immediate <br /> amity shall mean; wife, husband, mother, fa-ther, child, <br /> and brother or sister. <br /> b An employee will be granted up to two 2 calendar days <br /> leave without loss of pay in the event of death o <br /> brother-in-law, sister-in-law, mo her- in-lar , father-in- <br /> law,aw, or grandparents. <br /> The purpose of bereavement leave is to allow the employee <br /> time to make funeral arrangements or attend a funeral, or <br /> both. An employee shall be paid bereavement leave only for <br /> days on which he or she would ordinarily have been scheduled <br /> to work;. <br />
