TOWN POLICIES <br /> Town Hall ope4 rating Hours P01 <br /> Town Hall will be open from 8:30 A,M*. to 4:3P.M.. on Monday <br /> through Friday. <br /> Pkol i re: Closing /Locking of Doors/Windows in Town Hall <br /> The Head Custodian is responsible for locking all door* at <br /> 4:30 P. I. In his absence, Selectmen's office asUmes this <br /> responsibility. <br /> Should someone remain in the building after 4:30 P.M. , he or <br /> she is responsible for determining if anyone else is in the <br /> building. if no one else is in the building, that person is <br /> responsible for assuring .that all exterior doors are locked. <br /> Committee members attending committee meetings on weeknights <br /> are responsible for securing all doors and windows prior* to <br /> leaving the building. <br /> All departments are responsible for securing the windows in <br /> their offices. In the event a window is left open, the <br /> police department will he asked to call a representative of <br /> that particular department to close the window. Contact <br /> people will be designated for each department and telephone <br /> numbers will be recorded with the police department. <br /> Policy re: Closing of Town Hall dur i Winter Storms <br /> The decision to close Town Hall will be made by the Executive <br /> Secretary following consultation with the Board of Selectmen <br /> and the Director of Public Works. if the chairman i <br /> unavailable, the vice-chairman will be consulted. The <br /> decision to close Town Hall should be made in sufficiont time <br /> to permit proper communication to -the following stations: <br /> W AL-P' , W R -F , and WP -AM, This decision will also be <br /> communicated to the Department of Public Works and the Police <br /> Department dispatchers. <br /> If a decision is reached to Deep Town Hall open and an <br /> individual feels his or her personal safety is jeopardized by <br /> traveling to work, the employee is permitted to use earned <br /> leave notwithstanding requirements in the Personnel Admini- <br /> stration Plan and collective bargaining agreement relative to <br /> prior written approval of earned leave. 14 an employee <br /> chooses not to use earned leave but prefers to remain home or <br /> to leave Town Hall early without the building beim closed, <br /> that employee shall not be paid for the time lost. <br /> Policy for Prevention and Elimination of Sexual Harassment in <br /> he Work lace <br /> "The Torn of Mashpee as an employer, has the duty of elimi- <br /> nating sexual harassment from the workplace. This duty <br /> arises from MOL 151B AND Title 111I of the Civil Rights Acts <br /> of 1964, which includes sexual harassment as a fora of un- <br /> lawful sex discrimination.
