George' s ltr. to Dr. Kenton Williams has been sent to <br /> Special Town Counsel for his approval and correction. <br /> Subject matter, why the Town objects to the WITC' s request <br /> for Federal grant ,monies. <br /> 2. Jean' s ltr. to C.C.P.E.C. re Coli count in our Ponds. In calling <br /> the State officials they do not do these tests unless the <br /> coli count is over 1,0000; a doctor' s letter identifying <br /> the bacteria and if the area is private the Town is not <br /> involved. <br /> 3. Jean' s ltr. to Rbt. Paquin (HUD) aking what the "Open Space <br /> Land Project"is for the museum. <br /> 4. Memo to Board of Health re the Maintenance Crew installing <br /> the fence. We find that Lebel' s backhoe is being repaired <br /> and it will be 2 wks. before the fence can be put in. <br /> 5. Memo to Town C. re can a Special Town Mtg. recind the <br /> action of the 3/70 meeting which created the Pers. Board. <br /> Town Counsel says yes. Is this what the Board wants to do? <br /> On another subject, can .an environmental Inpact Statement <br /> be requested prior to New Seabury' s development in Maushop <br /> Village? No response as yet. <br /> 6. Notice to Fal. Ent. & C.C.Times re increase of pick up fee <br /> for dogs .will be $15. 00. <br /> 7. Memo to Board of Registrars re appointments run from <br /> April 1 to March for 3 yrs. with 2 Demo & 2 Rep. serving. <br /> 8 . Memo to Chris Burden to advertisethe oncoming Special Town <br /> Meeting. <br /> INFORMATION/ACTION <br /> 1. cc of Conservation Legal Foundation which has 3 paragraphs <br /> re military excises and if there are any laws to limit the <br /> Army' s actions and protect the beaches. <br /> 2. Weekend Gas Report from C.C. Regional Transit Authority. <br /> One more week to go on this. <br /> 3. Regan for President. <br /> 4. C. C.P.E. D.C. information - on HUD preapplication. <br /> 5. Dept. of Elder Affairs is saying we must expend all funds <br /> by 9/30/79 . We have asked for an extension to 12/31/79 and <br /> have requested the balance of the grant. <br /> 6. J. J. Hudson notifys the Town that a 045 incr. on asphalt. <br /> 7. Update on Human Services Directory—This includesithe Museum <br /> and the United Church Village. <br /> 8. Shell Oil sent a mailgram to State Weights & Measures <br /> stating the Shell Oil Co. , will support the metric system <br /> and dispense gasoline by -.the' liter. They ask your support. <br /> 9. Board of Appeals will hold a hearing 9/5/79 on the application <br /> of Robert Smith , special permit for property on Route 28/ <br /> Great Neck Road. for an Art Studio. <br />
