SELECTMEN' S MINUTES <br /> November 14 , 1979 <br /> Selectmen O'Connell and Garland present. Selectman Benway in <br /> Washington, D. C, on Town business. Town Counsel present. <br /> Mr. William Whitedand Leonard Be ford net with the Board <br /> to say that they are interested in purchasing the' old <br /> "ire Station. Proposed use to be a hobby shop to rebuild <br /> airplanes. <br /> Chairman O'Connell advised Mr'. Whited that the wooden <br /> portion of the' station was condemned and would have to <br /> e torn down. To acquire the property, the procedure would <br /> be the preparation of an article for Town Meeting aetion. <br /> which would authorize the Selectmen to sell at a public <br /> auction, or, have the property appraise. l, rale an offer <br /> aria an article, for Town meeting approval. <br /> Chairman O'Connell noted that a letter had been received <br /> from Mr. Edgar. Tobey, Tribal Community Coordinator, who <br /> is also interested in purchasing the old fire station, <br /> 2, In regards to compensating Mr, Stere Lebe l, Landfill <br /> Contractor, a differential of fuel cost above 49 ,9 cents <br /> per ballon, (when the contract was signed the increase <br /> fuel costs were unforeseen) is in the hands of Town Counsel <br /> to advise the Board if any adjustment to the contract can <br /> be done legally. <br /> Motion by Selectmen Garland to accept the Selectman <br /> minutes of 11/7/79 . Seconded. A Grote. <br /> 4. Motion by Selectman Garland to go into "executive session" <br /> to discuss the - possible disciplinary action against a <br /> town employee. Seconded. The Board was polled. In favor: <br /> Selectman Garland and Chairman O'Connell. unanimous <br /> vote. <br /> s With no further business to come before the Board, ' the <br /> regular-scheduled meeting will not reconvene. <br />
