F y I <br /> fk <br /> Selectmen's Minutes <br /> November 14, 1979 <br /> Page 29 <br /> EXECUTIVE SESSION <br /> James Ames - Mashpee Dog/Animal Control officer <br /> Chairman O'Connell a 1 ed the Police Chief O'Conner for a report. <br /> O'Connor: I have police reports , but not a , report for the Board <br /> of Selectmen. <br /> O'Connell: Can you tell us what transpired last right; the reason <br /> for the arrest <br /> O'Conner: He (Ames) was taken into protective custody about 2 : 09 <br /> a.m. , following a report of a disturbance at the Farm. <br /> O'Connell: was the complaint directed by the management of the <br /> Farm? <br /> O'Connor: Yes , there were two of them. A telephone complaint <br /> at 2: 09 a.m. , and another one shortly thereafter. The <br /> complaints were made against three parties : Mr, Ames <br /> and two of his acquaintances , John & Gordon Burke. <br /> O'Connell: The' nature of the complaint. <br /> O'Connor: They wouldn' t leave. <br /> O' Connell: At that point, an arrest was made? <br /> O'Connor: Mr. Antes and another man were taken into protective <br /> custody, and the third gentlemen was -arrested. <br /> Garland: were they all kept overnight? <br /> O'Connor: ir. Ames was-kept overnight. The second custody was <br /> released, and the arrest was presented in court this <br /> morning, <br /> Garland: There' s nothing in the report that indicates the three <br /> gentlemen created a further disturbance with the arrival <br /> f the police? <br /> O'Connor: I do not care to discuss that now that the case i , <br /> pending. <br /> 'Connell: outside of the individual that was arrested, .two in- <br /> dividuals were not. <br /> O'Connor: Can I ask the nature of this inquiry? <br /> O'Connell: Mr. Ames has conte in and wants to }snow whir certain <br /> things have transpired. <br />
