Davie School <br /> The Board reviewed the draft Memorandum of Understanding <br /> between the Board of Selectmen and School. Committee relative to <br /> the transfer of the Samuel G, Davie School to the control of the <br /> Selectmen, <br /> Selectman Caffyn recommended to obtain exact moving and <br /> rental expenditures as it relates to an alternate location for <br /> School Administration Offices . It will ultimately involve two <br /> costly moves indicated Selectman Cafyn. <br /> *It is the consensus of the Board to obtain further <br /> information relative to rental fees for the alternative location <br /> of the School Administrative Offices until the opening of a new <br /> high school facility . <br /> 7 : 08 p,m, PUBLIC DISCUSSION: <br /> Marie Scalley indicated that there is no clause in the Town <br /> Bylaw for local residents to be hired when qualified and <br /> available for municipal employment, <br /> *It is the consensus of the Board to obtain a legal opinion <br /> relative to the Local. Preference Law and institution of such. <br /> Police Advispry Committee : <br /> ***The motion was made by Selectman Jacobson to place the <br /> discussion of the Police Advisory Committee on theSelectmen ' s <br /> agenda . The notion was seconded by Selectman Mills. VOTE <br /> Unanimous . 5-0. <br /> Selectman Costa recommended to extend the application and <br /> advertisement process to the Police Advisory Committee for one <br /> week. <br /> **The motion was made by Selectman Jacobson to extend the <br /> application deadline for the Police Advisory Committee to January <br /> 12 , 1994 as recommended, The motion was seconded by Selectman <br /> Costa, VOTE; Unanimous . 5-0. <br /> JR/SR HIGH SCHOOL BUILDING PROJECT <br /> Discussion relative to Architect Selection: <br /> It was noted that the Jr/Sr High School Building Project <br /> will appear on the Selectmen ' s agenda on a regular leasis . <br /> Meeting Schedule of Jr/Sr High School Building Committee: <br /> Monday's: 4: 00 p.m. Town Hall <br /> Tuesday: One meeting per month <br />
