Davie School The Board reviewed the draft Memorandum of Understanding between the Board of Selectmen and School. Committee relative to the transfer of the Samuel G, Davie School to the control of the Selectmen, Selectman Caffyn recommended to obtain exact moving and rental expenditures as it relates to an alternate location for School Administration Offices . It will ultimately involve two costly moves indicated Selectman Cafyn. *It is the consensus of the Board to obtain further information relative to rental fees for the alternative location of the School Administrative Offices until the opening of a new high school facility . 7 : 08 p,m, PUBLIC DISCUSSION: Marie Scalley indicated that there is no clause in the Town Bylaw for local residents to be hired when qualified and available for municipal employment, *It is the consensus of the Board to obtain a legal opinion relative to the Local. Preference Law and institution of such. Police Advispry Committee : ***The motion was made by Selectman Jacobson to place the discussion of the Police Advisory Committee on theSelectmen ' s agenda . The notion was seconded by Selectman Mills. VOTE Unanimous . 5-0. Selectman Costa recommended to extend the application and advertisement process to the Police Advisory Committee for one week. **The motion was made by Selectman Jacobson to extend the application deadline for the Police Advisory Committee to January 12 , 1994 as recommended, The motion was seconded by Selectman Costa, VOTE; Unanimous . 5-0. JR/SR HIGH SCHOOL BUILDING PROJECT Discussion relative to Architect Selection: It was noted that the Jr/Sr High School Building Project will appear on the Selectmen ' s agenda on a regular leasis .
