It was noted that as a result <br /> of cerfficadon lavers, the Assistant Building Inspector is now appointed <br /> as Local Inspector. <br /> Mr. Polito,Local Inspector is currently funded for 60 days or 480 hours <br /> indicated Mr.Hauck. He has reconnended to increase the hours to 15 hours <br /> per week or 780 hours per year. <br /> Mr. Polito now earns the sung of$6,355.20. The increase of$3,972.00 <br /> will result ina net expense of$10,327.20 indicated llrir. Hauck. `The above <br /> is acceptable with the Board of Selectmen. <br /> With regards to the wiring and Cas Inspector,1141r. whritenour indicated <br /> that the hours will remain under the benefit provisions of the Building Department's. <br /> Salary/ age Account to alleviate the bid process of Chapter 30B. <br /> Police: <br /> Police Chief Frye and Sergeant Clancy were present to discuss their proposal <br /> relative to vehicle basing to benefit the Police Department. Sergeant Clancy <br /> presented statistics of cruiser maintenance and a proposed cruiser replacement <br /> schedule for consideration. <br /> SergeantClancy has proposed to lease seven vehicles in FY95 to replace <br /> nine vehicles. The department currently has 9 marked vehicles, 5 unmarked <br /> and 1 utility pleb up vehicle. The proposal recommends 7 marked vehicles, <br /> unmarked and l pick up vehicle. <br /> Mr. whritenour has recommended to place the sura of$40,000 into the <br /> Police Department Capital expenditure. The projected sum to lease the vehicles <br /> as estimated is $56,000. Selectman Vaccaro recommended to increase the <br /> estimated receipts to$15,000. <br /> Motion made by Selectman Mills to amend the Police Capital <br /> expense; lire item #0055 to $55,322 as recommended. Motion <br /> seconded by Selectman Jacobson. VOTE: Unanimous. 5-0. <br /> E <br />
