i <br /> Page 1 <br /> Board of Selectmen <br /> Minutes <br /> June 6, 1994 <br /> Present: Selectman Mills, Selectman Costa, Selectman Caffyn, Selectman Vaccaro <br /> Executive Secretary Robert whritenour <br /> Chests; Greg Taylor, Brad Caffyn, Al bolsi, Paul Ott, Deirdre Greelish <br /> Meeting Called to Order by Chaim an Bills at :30 p.m. <br /> MENUTES: <br /> None at this bine. <br /> COMMUNICATIONS AND CORRESPONDENCE: <br /> Correspondence from Special Olympic re: Recycle For Cold: <br /> Communication was received from Robert R fiche, Director of the Special <br /> Olympics project entitled "Recycle For Gold" dated May 26, 1994. The program <br /> is designed to perform a public service, improve the environment and raise <br /> funds for the Massachusetts Special Olympics, <br /> The Recycle For Gold project will remove and recycle unwanted automobiles <br /> at no charge to the consumer, In addition to avoiding towing charges, the <br /> consumer may be eligible to obtain a tax deduction. The program also allows <br /> individuals to comply with local ordinances indicated Mr-. whritenour. <br /> ' It is the consensus of the Board to support the endorsement of the Special <br /> Olympics program entitled "Recycle For Gold". The Building Inspector will <br /> be authorized to utilize this program as a method of clean-yup and compliance. <br /> Communication from County Commissioners re: 1994 ]TEC <br /> Summer Youth Employment and Training Program: <br /> At their meeting of May 24, 1994, the Cape Cod Martha's Vineyard arra <br /> Nantucket Regional Employment Board (REB) voted to fund the Barnstable <br /> County Summer Youth Employment and Training 1 rogarn indicated <br /> N1 r. Whritenour. <br /> The REB awarded 63 youth slots to the County's Program. JTC will refer <br /> youth to the County in mid-June. Once this process is completed,placement <br /> will begin with regards to various employment possibilities. <br /> Communication from DEM re: Booth Cape Beach State Park: <br /> r <br /> Correspondence was received from the Department of Environmental Management <br /> dated May 27, 1994 regarding South Cape Beach State Park and the McGregor <br /> Road Facility - Site Improvements. <br />
