i <br /> ` Page 2 <br /> Board of Selectmen <br /> Minutes <br /> June 6, 1994 <br /> Communication from DEM re: South Cape Beach State Park: <br /> Upon receiving required perms,DEM will construct site improvements <br /> in fiscal year 1995 to the beach area at McGregor Road indicated <br /> Mr. Whritenour. <br /> Site improvements will allow the Department of Environmental Management <br /> to provide controlled access to the beach area and an upland Zoo car gravel <br /> parking lot. Dune restoration and an overdune board walk are proposed. <br /> The project will also include the regrading,realignment and asphalt paving <br /> of McGregor Road. <br /> The South Cape Beach State Park Advisory Committee is scheduled to meet <br /> with DEM to discuss the detailed scope as proposed inf n-ned Mr. whriteno r. <br /> Mr. whritenour recommended to place the above proposal as a future agenda <br /> item of discussion alter the Advisory Committee has reviewed the project scope. <br /> `It is the consensus of the Board to further review the proposal as recommended <br /> to include all entities involved in the project scope for further review and <br /> discussion. (DEM/SCBAC) <br /> Communication from Elder Services re: Nutrition Program: <br /> Correspondence was received from Elder Services of Cape Cod and the <br /> Islands, Inc. dated May 2 , 1994 regarding the Senior Nutrition Program. <br /> i <br /> As noted by Donald Lange, Executive Director of Elder Services, the <br /> Nutrition Program is facing a deficit of$162,000 for the new fiscal year <br /> beginning July 1, 1994. <br /> The deficit in l lashpee's Senior Center Dining Center is $22,545 indicated <br /> Mr. w ritenour. Areas to support the Nutrition Program were presented <br /> for the Board's consideration. <br /> Mr. w ritenour recommended to refer the Nutrition Program deficit to the <br /> attention of the Council on Aging for a recommendation to assist <br /> Elder Services. `The Board is in agreement. <br /> Correspondence from New Seabury re: South Mashpee village: <br /> Conununic ti n was received from Christopher Burden of New Seabur <br /> Company Limited Partnership dated May 2 , 1994 regarding the development <br /> of a part of Deur Seabury known as Section 5. <br />
